Kris Andreychuk is a father, crime fighter, problem solver and Highlands resident.
Kris and Katherine have lived in Ward 7 for nearly a decade and will welcome their second child shortly after the municipal election.
For the past five years Kris has worked as the City of Edmonton’s Supervisor of Community Safety, supervising city-wide crime prevention teams and providing research and project support on a number of crime and safety related issues.
From targeting sexual exploitation to getting used needles off of the street, Kris has had the opportunity to take on issues that matter to Edmontonians.
Prior to this, Kris spent the majority of his career working in partnership with the Edmonton Police Service as a front-line member of the Neighbourhood Empowerment Team in Millwoods, McCauley, and most notably, along 118 Avenue – championing initiatives like We Believe in 118.
Named one of Edmonton’s Top 40 under 40 by Avenue Magazine in 2015, Kris has received numerous awards and international recognition for his work and leadership in community.
Kris is a very genuine person who cares deeply about his community and is raising his growing family in Ward 7. His work experience has him uniquely positioned to understand the problems and possibilities that lie ahead for Ward 7.
